India is a country with rich and diverse fish resources, both in freshwater and marine environments. Fish and fisheries play an important role in the economy, food security, and culture of India. However, there are many challenges and opportunities facing the fish and fisheries sector in India, such as overexploitation, pollution, climate change, aquaculture development, biotechnology, and value addition.
